I met Paisley and her humans in Studio City, Los Angeles recently for a wonderful fine art dog photography session. She is a young, soft, incredibly sweet and gentle companion, and will make a kind and devoted sister to her soon-to-arrive human sibling.
We took a stroll to her favorite dog park where she chased a few tennis balls before collapsing in the the grass, and flopping into her dads' laps. There was such a sense of ease and joy in the relationships I witnessed during this Los Angeles dog photography session, and the collection of printed photographs I helped my clients curate will tell a story about a very important time in this family's life.
One of my favorite images was created right when I arrived. After Paisley came up to greet me with an overly-enthusiastic tail wag, she circled herself into her favorite spot: the kitchen floor. I sat with her a while, getting to know each other and create a level of comfort before reaching for my camera and shooting my first roll of film. This beautiful portrait emerged:
Oh. And there was a cat, too. A very very very handsome cat.
