It's always fascinating to watch a fellow artist grow. But when that artist is your mom, well it's a whole other experience. My mom has been learning to weld, collage, and paint over the past few years. And now she's developed a very unique multi-media style that not only keeps her busy and helps her relax a bit, but is really quite beautiful. Of course, part of being at home for an extended period of time means I get to help do lots and lots of 'projects.' Yesterday I helped turn the porch into a gallery of some of my mom's new pieces. They look great.
